Homemade Chocolate Syrup

This is my step-mom's chocolate syrup recipe, and everyone says it's better than Hershey's! Great on ice cream, in chocolate milk, or drizzled on warm brownies.
Ingreadient
- 1 ½ cups water
- 1 ½ cups white sugar
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 dash salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Direction
- Gather all ingredients.
- Combine water, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt together in a saucepan over low heat; whisk constantly until the mixture thickens and begins to simmer.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla
- Serve warm or cover and refrigerate until serving.
